Unexpected Luxembourg…

From Luxembourg we drove directly to Burgundy in France. We were stung 12 Euros on the way for accidentally finding ourselves on a toll road. To make some savings we decided to wildcamp and headed off down a Michelin road atlas ‘scenic route’, about an hour north of Dijon.

From there we hunted for a nice place to camp for the night out of everyone’s way. It took us around an hour until we found a beautiful spot surrounded by fields, sunflowers and a very old looking building half submerged in a small lake. The building we named ‘Toad Castle’ was found to be actually called Lavoir De Chaugey built in 1835 and was a wash house once upon a time.
