We headed south into Italy’s heel awaiting our departure from Brindisi to Greece that was due in three days. About an hours drive south of Brindisi, past Lecce, we found many excellent free camping options right by the beach. We even had a man come to the van to sell us freshly baked bread in the morning. We made friends with Nuria, a lovely Swiss girl traveling in south Italy, who camped out with us for a night and brought us some delicious snacks (thanks!). After two nights of beach camping we headed for the port of Brindisi where we boarded a ferry to Patra in Greece thus ending our Italian adventure.
